@airplanegod yes i am a developer for apple and apple has said they are not interested in making a ipod touch right now there focus is the ios 5 update and the new iphone (the iphone and update was suppose to be released in july but they delayed it because they had some problems) so there focus is just the iphone and the update (now they never said they werent making anymore ipod touchs)
